Well this is sweet. They got it!
Someone forwarded this online bar review to me. The bar review features a band review of us. No one ever talks to me after sets, so I never know if people like the music or not. “Then came the Gemini Crickets. Lead singer and chick barely strumming the electric guitar are married and happily sharing nights like this one over music. Later she told me she’s just now starting to learn...

cupcakekitten: I want it to be yesterday again! I’m not emotionally prepared for more winter weather. I need to wear shorts and play outside and climb on rocks and splash around in the river and feel the sun on my arms. I really probably should move further south. One summer where I’m from and you’ll take that back. It’s too hot for skin. Lots of April babies because...

Old website flashback.
We all had a geocities website when we were teenagers right? I had at least 3. I had my main site: “The Blakery,” a band site for The Shazbots (my first band), and my imaginary black metal band “Asphyxiation: Turning Metal into Gold.” I just google searched my name and found a few things from my past: a few archived pages of the Blakery, and a picture of me at 18, during my...

There is a really neat little black & white, silent, expressionist style Call of Cthulu movie over on Hulu. It was made in 2005. The filmmakers lovingly tried to make it look like the old expressionist classics with filters, camera work, set design, effects, make-up, etc. At 46 minutes, It’s a really enjoyable little flick. Check it out!

Holy Coasting →
Some other website has my album as the download of the week. Never heard of it but they e-mailed me saying nice stuff, so that’s neat. I start recording the next Holy Coast album next weekend for RPM 2011.

So my grandma e-mails me a political news link.
She asked for my response and here is what I had to say to my Grandma: “To me there aren’t really “sides” to anything, we’re all human which means we are all in this together. I think any politician or TV pundit who tries be divisive should be ignored immediately until they get their heart straight. Destroying the “Us vs. Them” mindset is #1 in getting...

Museum of Antiquities is safe. →
“CAIRO — The Egyptian army secured Cairo’s famed antiquities museum early Saturday, protecting treasures including the famed gold mask of King Tutankhamun from looters. The greatest threat to the Egyptian Museum first appeared to come from the fire enguling the ruling party headquarters next door on Friday night as anti-government protests roiled the country. Then dozens of would-be...
